Chelsea and Didier Drogba together again! The Ivory Coast striker has returned to the club where he spent 8 years. The Blues still need him.

He made his greatest successes playing with the Blues. Beside some other trophies he won Champions League with the club and then he left it in 2012. He spent some time in China and Galatasaray and after turning down the offer to stay at Galatasaray, he has returned to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea announced on Friday that the striker who had played 341 games and scored 157 goals for the Blues, signed one-year contract.

“It was an easy decision – I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to work with Jose again,” Drogba said. “Everyone knows the special relationship I have with this club and it has always felt like home to me.”

“My desire to win is still the same and I look forward to the opportunity to help this team. I am excited for this next chapter of my career.”

“He’s coming because he’s one of the best strikers in Europe,” Mourinho said. “I know his personality very well and I know if he comes back he’s not protected by history or what he’s done for this club previously. He is coming with the mentality to make more history.”

Die Mannschaft are the new champions! They beat Argentina 1:0 in extra-time at the Maracana stadium and won their 4th champion title in history.

The tension and uncertainty of the final match was solved by Mario Götze’s goal in the 113th minute after Schürrle’s breakthrough on the left side.

Germany have won their first title since 1990. Even then, it was the same situation – Germany beat Argentina 1:0 in Italy. It’s also interesting that they are the first European team who won the championship playing in America. The hero is definitely the coach Joachim Löw who have been creating the team for years and has succeeded in making the strong machine.

The last three championships were won by one of the European teams (Italy 2006, Spain 2010).

Lionel Messi bore the brunt of the game and of his nation’s hopes. However, he still has to wait to be next to Diego Maradona because he still hasn’t scored any goal in the knockout phase of the World Championship.

The top goalscorer of the World championship 2014 is the Colombian James Rodriguez with 6 goals and 2 assists, while Miroslav Klose has become the best goalscorer in the history of the World Cups with 16 goals. The best goalkeeper is Manuel Neuer, while Lionel Messi has been voted the tournament’s best player.

The regular 90 minutes passed with excellent football. Argentina missed their first chance when Higuaín kicked the ball beside the goal. At the end of the first half, there was a chance for Messi, but Germany defense reacted quickly.

At the very beginning of the second half there was another great chance for Messi when he was alone in front of Neuer, but he kicked beside the goal post.

The first bigger chances for Germany appeared 20 minutes before end of the match. Schürrle had got the ball after Müller’s breakthrough on the left side, he kicked it, but Romero defended excellently.

There were several chances for both teams till the end of the regular 90 minutes but without scores.

Extra-time started with the same fight. When it was almost certain that the penalties would be played, Argentina defense was broken by German substitutes.

Schürrle appeared on the left side and then kicked the ball toward the first goalpost where Götze stayed alone. Götze received the ball with his chest from Schürrle’s cross and put it into the net.

The next FIFA World Cup will be played in 2018 in Russia.

France defeated Switzerland (5:2) in Group E of the FIFA World Cup.

The team of Didier Deschamps has placed in eighth-finals and closed to the first position of the Group E after the victory over Switzerland.

The Frenchmen really did a good job. They almost secured their spot in the next round in the first half when they scored three goals. In the continuation of the game, the only mission for them was to finish the initiated. And they did so stunning the opponent with another two goals.

The first goal was scored in 17th minute by Olivier Giroud, and just a minute later Matuidi doubled the lead. Benzema and Giroud were very tough with the Swiss players. Benzema had a chance in 32nd minute to score the 3rd goal from a penalty kick, but he missed it.

In the 40th minute, Giroud assisted Valbuena and another score was made.

Les Bleus started the 2nd half brightly, too. The Real Madrid striker, Benzema, scored the fourth goal of the match in 67th minute and 6 minutes later the same was done by Sissoko. However, till the end of the match, Gemaili scored the goal in 82nd minute and soon later Xhaka scored the 2nd. The final result was 5 – 2.

On June 25, Switzerland faces Honduras and the only hope for further competition is victory. France is now on the top with 6 points. It seems that their aim is not just to win the championship, but also to restore their role of the World Cup favourite remembering the great failure of 2010 when they were eleminated in the 1st Round and were the last of the Group.
