Arsenal, Hull City, QPR and Liverpool achieved the victories in the first matches of PL Round 25.

Arsenal beat Leicester 2-1 at home, Hull defeated Aston Villa 2-0, QPR defeated Sunderland 2-0, while Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in an interesting match played at Anfield.

Beating Leicester, the Gunners moved to the 4th position displacing thus Manchester United who are now the 5th with 44 points. Liecester are the last with 17 points.

Mesut Ozil was meritorious for both goals assisting to Laurent Koscielny and Theo Walcott. Both of them were scored in the first half, while Andrej Kramaric reduced their advantage in the 61st minute.

The yellow cards were given to Rosicky, Simpson, Wasilewski and Giroud who entered instead Sanchez in the second half.

Mario Balotelli was the hero of the match between Liverpool and Tottenham scoring in the 83rd minute. It was his first PL goal for the Reds.

Liverpool took the advantage when Markovic scored an opener in the 15th minute. However only ten minutes later, Tottenham equalized through Harry Kane’s score.

The similar thing was repeated in the 2nd half. Steven Gerrard scored from a penalty to put his team agead again, while only 5 minutes later Mousa Dembele equalized again.

It was unpredictable till the very end of the game. Balotelli entered the game in the 74th minute instead of Daniel Sturridge and 10 minutes later scored a decider.

“It was a great game and I am disappointed with the result but proud of the efforts of my players. We have a young team and believe in our way of playing. The effort and performance was good. We played to try and win the game and I felt we deserved more.” – Mauricio Pochettino said.

Everton and Liverpool played a scoreless draw at Goodison Park in PL Round 24.

The famous Merseyside derby ended in a draw after the Tofees and the Reds finished the match without a score. However, the derby will be rememberred as the probably last one for Steven Gerrard and at the same time the 2nd Jordon Ibe’s match for the Reds. For Everton, Aaron Lennon debuted entering the game in the 2nd half.

In the 10th minute, Steven Gerrard shot from a free kick, but Joel Robles reacted well. In the 27th minute, there was a great chance for Ibe, but he hit the left goalpost.


Till the end of the 1st half, there was a great chance for Kevin Mirallas, while Sterling’s attempt was blocked again.

In the beginning of the 2nd half, Philippe Coutinho, who was later substituted, tried a through ball. The best chance for Everton was missed by Seamus Coleman, in the 87th minute when Simon Mignolet defended successfully. Coleman was assisted by Ross Barkley who entered the game in the 85th minute replacing Naismith.

After this match, Everton stay on the 12th position with 27 points, while Liverpool stay placed 7th with 39 points. Everton is to play against Chelsea on February 11.

Glendale, Arizona – The New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 on Sunday night and won the NFL champion title.

The Patriots reached their 4th trophy after a great turnarournd at the end of the 49th Super Bowl taking the lead from the Seahawks who later missed their last chance to change the situation.

It is Brady’s 4th Super Bowl title and he is now next to Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana. He also won his 3rd Super Bowl MVP award.

“Every team has a journey and a lot of people lost faith in us early, but we held strong, we held together and it’s a great feeling.” – said Brady.


The Seahawks had the lead 24-14 in the 3rd quarter. However, 8 minutes before the end of the game, Brady threw a TD to Danny Amendola and the result was 24-21. Then Brady completed eight passes introducing us in an exciting and unpredictable finish of the match. In the 58th minute, Brady threw a TD to Julien Edelman who soon set the result 28-24.

In the last 2 minutes, the Seahawks missed their last opportunity, but Malcolm Butler picked off Russel Wilson’s pass.

Brady ran 328 yards and threw 4 TD-s, while Edelman ran 109 yards and threw 1 TD. Wilson ran 247 yards and threw 2 TD-s for the Seahawks, while Marshawn Lynch and Chris Methews each threw 1 TD.

An event to remember in Oakland. Klay Thompson played one his best matches scoring 11 3-points in total to crash Sacramento Kings 126-101.

On Friday night, Thompson set a new record scoring 9 3-pointers and 37 points within only 9 minutes in the 3rd quarter. Even the same Thompson couldn’t have believed it.

“You always dream about it, being a big-time scorer and a big-time player. It’s crazy it’s reality,” said Thompson.

Thompson had 52 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists for the Golden State Warriors’ 35th win. Marreese Speights scored 19 points, while Stephen Curry finished the match with 10 points and 11 assists.

For the Kings, who lost for the 6th time in a row, DeMarcus Cousins had 28 points and 11 rebounds, while Darren Collison scored 15 points and Quincy Miller 13 points.

The Kings visit New York Knicks on Monday, while the Warriors face Boston Celtics at home on Sunday.

Four NBA matches were played on Thursday night, and the victories were achieved by Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz, Boston Celtics and LA Clippers.

At the very end of the match, the Blazers had the 89-87 advantage after Robinson’s free throw. However, Turner, who was assisted by Sullinger, made a turnaround scoring a 3-pointer to bring the win to his team 90-89 after 3 consecutive defeats.

Turner had 10 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds, while Sullinger had 17 points, 9 rebounds. Avery Bradley finished the match with 18 points, while Bass, who played instead of Zeller, had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Damian Lillard scored 21 points and had 7 assists for the Blazers who played without Robin Lopez and LaMarcus Aldridge. Actually, Aldridge will rest for several weeks. Wesley Matthews, who missed 1 free throw, had 18 points.

“We blew it. We had possessions, we had chances, we had opportunities.” – said Matthews.

Boston Celtics will face Denver Nuggets on Friday night, while the Blazers will host Washington Wizards on Saturday night.

Chicago Bulls trashed the reigning champions San Antonio Spurs 104-81 with leading Derrick Rose who gained 22 points. Pau Gasol had 12 points and 17 rebounds, while, for the Spurs, Kawhi Leonard was the best with 16 points.

Utah Jazz managed to beat Milwaukee Bucks 101-99. Enes Kanter had 23 points and 16 rebounds, while the most points were scored by Hayward – 24. For Milwaukee Bucks, Dudley and Knight each scored 16 points.

LA Clippers crashed Brooklyn Nets in Los Angeles reaching the impressive 39 points advantage 123-84.

Blake Griffin was the best for the Clippers’ 3rd successive win with 24 points (22 scored in the 1st half), while Crawford and Redick each gained 17 points. Chris Paul scored only 6 points, but he had 17 assists. DeAndre Jordan had 14 points and 12 rebounds.

For the Nets, Mason Plumlee scored 16 points, while Darius Morris and Jerome Jordan each scored 11 points.
